WHAT IS JAZZFEST?
The annual Lawtown Jazz Fest & World Music combine all genre of music from all over the world (Jazz, Blues, Rock, Latin Music). It provides family-friendly fun for all ages and creates the perfect harmony for interaction with people from different part of the world and backgrounds to celebrate life, art, culture.
WHO ORGANIZES JAZZFEST?
JazzFest is founder by Persio Acevedo a local artist, activist, entrepreneur of the city of Lawrence, with the partnership of local business owner and the collaboration of government institutions.
WHEN AND WHERE IS JAZZFEST?
The Lawtown Jazz Fest & World Music will take place on August 10 & 11, 2018 from 5pm-10pm at Appleton way, 225 Essex St, Lawrence, MA, 01840 near City Hall Plaza. Located twenty-five miles north of Boston, MA, Lawrence, is truly a diverse and vibrant city. Known as the "Immigrant City", Lawrence has always been a multi-ethnic and multicultural place with a high percentage of foreign-born residents.
IS THERE AN ADMISSION FEE?
No, JazzFest is a FREE event! Generous sponsorships from many local and regional companies as well as volunteers from the community allow the event to remain free to the public. Because there is free admission, we ask that attendants not bring in any outside food or beverages. JazzFest is possible because of our sponsors, volunteers and the sale of food and beverages at the event.
IS JAZZ THE ONLY MUSIC FEATURED AT JAZZFEST?
The Lawtown Jazz Fest & World Music features a wide variety of music every year including jazz, blues, Latin, Reggae, big band, rock, soul, and funk among others.
